Back New Members Join PCCS Council

We are delighted to welcome two new members onto the PCCS Council. Dr Youssef Beaini and Beverley Bostock-Cox will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience within cardiovascular care to the Council.

Dr Youssef Beaini

GP and GPSI in cardiology, CVD Lead for Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCGs. CVD Advisor to Yorks and Humber clinical network.

Dr Beaini spent 5 ½ years as a hospital cardiology registrar and then moved across to GP training. He is CVD lead for his three local CCGs and advisor to the York and Humber clinical network. He is a tutor on the Bradford University PwSI cardiology course. He is CVD lead for the Bradford’s Healthy Hearts program which aims to reduce CVD across the CCG and this resulted in nearly 21,000 patient interventions over two years. CVD events in the CCG have fallen significantly after the program started by 211 fewer MIs and strokes in the first year or so, and it has saved an estimated £1.2million.
