Steve has been a general practitioner partner since 1989 and has been a GP trainer since 1991. He spent 15 years on RCGP council, chaired the Primary Societies Forum at the RCGP a few years ago for four years and has more than 250 publications to his name. A decade on the asthma guidelines and in the last two years been involved in BTS guidance on respiratory disease in athletic individuals and guidance on fitness to fly. Steve is a previous chair of the PCRS and is on the executive still and education committee. He is still working two days as a GP, is an ICB Integrated Care lead and Respiratory lead, and is one of two regional leads for respiratory with a GP background. He has been involved and chaired work in professional guidance on management of breathlessness (cross speciality work) with IMPRESS and is part of the NHS breathlessness pathway at the current time. Married with two adult daughters, he plays the guitar and piano badly - but slightly better than his appalling painting skills. He loves armchair rugby (watching it) running (doing it) and travel.
