How to Guides
Our How to Guides are quick-reference guides developed by PCCS for primary care teams.
Each one breaks a common area of cardiovascular care into clear, practical steps, so you can work through it with confidence at the point of care.
How to use these guides
Each guide fits on a single page and is designed to be printed, pinned up or saved to your desktop. Use them alongside your local formulary, NICE guidance and the relevant SmPC.
PCCS has developed a new practical quick-reference aide-mémoire to support primary care teams when initiating and reviewing GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) therapy.
The SIMPLE approach provides an easy-to-follow framework covering Suitability, Indication, Medication, Preparation, Lifestyle and Evaluation, with practical prompts around prescribing, patient education, safety-netting and ongoing review.
Designed for UK practising healthcare professionals, the resource can be downloaded and used as a quick reference in clinical practice.
