PCCS Welcomes Beverley Bostock as President

The Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS) is delighted to announce that Beverley Bostock has officially taken on the role of PCCS President, following the formal handover at the PCCS Annual Conference 2026.
Beverley succeeds Professor Raj Thakkar, whose Presidency has overseen a period of continued growth, development and collaboration across the Society. We would like to thank Raj for his leadership, commitment and contribution over the past three years, and for his continued support of the Society and its members.
As PCCS President, Beverley will continue to champion the Society's multidisciplinary ethos and commitment to improving cardiovascular care in primary care. Throughout her career, Beverley has been a passionate advocate for the vital role of the wider healthcare team in supporting patients with cardiovascular disease and related conditions.
Looking ahead, Beverley's vision for PCCS centres on collaboration. She is keen to build on the Society's strong foundations by strengthening engagement with members, partner organisations, policymakers, industry and the wider healthcare community, while continuing to promote practical, evidence-based education that supports healthcare professionals in delivering the best possible care for patients.
Speaking about her Presidency, Beverley said:
"PCCS is in a strong position, with a growing membership, an excellent reputation for education and a committed multidisciplinary community. I am honoured to take on the role of President and look forward to working with colleagues across primary care and beyond to continue advancing cardiovascular health and improving outcomes for patients."
The PCCS looks forward to working with Beverley and building on the Society's ongoing success in supporting healthcare professionals, influencing cardiovascular care and improving patient outcomes.
